Originally from Alabama, Dr. Turkiewicz attended Samford University, University of Alabama at Birmingham, and the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. Dr. Turkiewicz was then a resident of internal medicine at Northwestern University Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois, which then led him to his fellowship in rheumatology at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington, DC. Dr. Turkiewicz is a member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Rheumatology, and the Virginia Society of Rheumatologists. In his spare time he enjoys family time, swimming, and playing piano.
